Props to the Pioneers: Chris Conn, founder of the legendary Props to the Pioneers: Chris Conn, founder of the legendary Dead Runners Society , started alt.fan.tom-robbins as a usenet group gatewayed to a mailing list called magic-l back in the early 90's. Matt Cooperberg created the first Tom Robbins fansite, called The Infinite Goof, in 1993. From these seeds grew the worldwide community of Tom Robbins readers known as the AFTRLife.

Tom is on the Board of Trustees of a program called Hollywood CPR.  No, it is not about giving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to starlets. The program teaches disadvantaged young adults the skills to work in the art departments in the entertainment industry. They auctioned off a first edition signed copy of Skinny Legs and All.

Leslie LePere is profiled in the Spokane.net. Mr. LePere did the artwork for the cover of Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates as well as other Cowgirls & Still Life with Woodpeckers among others.

Joel Bitton has composed a lovely song inspired by Tom Robbins' expression, "Peeple of zee wurl, relax." Listen to it here..
